Michael Landon Jr. Writer/Director/Show Runner/Executive Producer

Michael Landon Jr., son of legendary television and film icon Michael Landon, has built an impressive career spanning over three decades. After studying at USC and the American Film Institute, he achieved his breakthrough with "Love Comes Softly," which became Hallmark Channel's highest-rated film and generated over 2 million DVD sales. Its sequel, "Love's Enduring Promise," surpassed these records.

As a writer, director, and producer, Landon has created over two dozen films, including theatrical releases like "The Velveteen Rabbit" and socially impactful projects such as "Jamaa" for World Vision. Landon's credits include “When Calls the Heart,” a movie he wrote, directed, and produced featuring talented stars like Maggie Grace, Stephen Amell, Jean Smart, and Lori Loughlin. It became the backdoor pilot for the beloved television series, now in its 12th season, making it the longest-running series in Hallmark Channel history. He continues to executive produce both this series and its spin-off, "When Hope Calls" for GAF.

Currently, Landon is developing the TV series "Home to Harmony" and a documentary on race reconciliation titled "The Dream King." In addition to his work in television and film, Landon has co-authored four published novels. His greatest joy is his wife, Sharee, and their three children.

Cindy Kelley has had a writing partnership with Landon that spans over two decades. Together they have seven screenwriting credits that include Movie Guide’s Epiphany Award Winner, Love Comes Softly. In addition to their latest book, Literary Chaos, they have written three previous novels: The Silent Gift, Traces of Mercy, and Finding Mercy. Cindy lives in Southern Arizona with her husband, Jim, has three grown children and six grandchildren.
